From childhood Gene has always been interested in making, modifying and creating. After working in the field of Mechanical Engineering for 17 years he decided to start up the HeatskyMakerShop. The intent was to focus on the craft of making with new and challenging projects. In the fall of 2022 Gene will start a year long boat building program at the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding. This endeavor will provide a platform to further develop his craftsmanship skills. The name Heatsky is combination of Gene and his wife Sarah’s last names.
